About VentureEP

Independent owners.
Long-term thinkers.

Privately owned by Drew and Katie Mellor, VentureEP has spent more than a decade acquiring, developing and supporting UK businesses.

Our beginnings

One acquisition.
A longer journey.

VentureEP was founded by husband-and-wife team Drew and Katie Mellor following the acquisition of Nu-Tech Engineering in 2015. That investment provided the foundation for Venture Precision Engineering Group, known as VPEG.

Since then, the portfolio has grown through further acquisitions, investment in existing businesses and the creation of new operating platforms. Today it spans five distinct sectors and remains independently owned.

We invest our own capital. As a result, our decisions are not shaped by a fixed fund cycle or an obligation to sell at a particular point in time.

Our philosophy

A straightforward approach
to ownership.

01

Back management

Operating businesses are led by their own management teams, close to their customers, people and markets.

02

Support where it counts

We provide capital, strategic experience and selected group support in finance, people, marketing and acquisitions.

03

Think in years, not cycles

Our ownership structure allows us to invest patiently, while retaining the flexibility to make the right decisions for each business.
